Our annual Long Train and Operations Weekend is held the second weekend in June. This event features:

• Extra length trains (20+ cars)
• The challenge of meeting other long trains creating "saw-by" meets - dispatcher will do his best to NOT dispatch you "into a diorama!"
• Local switching and yard operations
• Daylight, evening, and night running! (For safety, all trains operating between dusk and dawn must be equipped with headlights and rear markers and all crew members must have lanterns/flashlight for signaling purposes!)

ALL TRAINS EXCEPT FIRST CLASS (PASSENGER OR EXPRESS/MAIL) WILL BE OPERATED AS EXTRA TRAINS. (flags and markers optional but encouraged!)

Note that while long trains and operations are the featured events this weekend, everyone can still run "casual" without having to run a schedule train job. The only requirement is that all train crews must have a radio and operate with respect to dispatcher instructions/signal indications. We will do our best to ensure that all trains keep moving as much as humanly possible within the constraints of the railroad's traffic capacity.
